Character Development

" Light Versus Dark " Piece finished

Hey guys,

I finished a new piece :

This one was particularly hard because i've never done back-lit hair and skin.
But i learnt a lot from it =)

I'm sorry i didn't post any progression shots, I didn't have the time, but I have got them on my Facebook page.

I did however make a progress video :

So you can see the journey I took to get there.

I think next I'm going to go back to the small animation i started but never finished. This one (if you remember?) :

New Art - "Calm Before the Storm" - Contest Entry

Hey everyone,

I hope all is well.

Just a quick post today, i've finally finished the piece i've been working on for a while now.
I'm quite happy with it because i really put 150% into it.

It is a contest piece (however you can still buy a print of this painting on my website)

One thing i've noticed is, a lot of people don't see the fish in the water coat, so make sure you have a close look.

I will be uploading a process video for this piece (hopefully tomorrow morning)

Art Contest - WIP.

Hey everyone,

So recently i've started supporting an artist known as Sakimi Chan on Patreon;  

link: https://www.patreon.com/sakimichan ; 

and as one of the millstone rewards for getting a specific amount of money per fortnight from supporters, she decided to start a contest for her supporters (with cash prices). 

So i'm participating. 

The theme is Elemental, so, water, earth, fire, air, light & dark. 

Most entrants have gone with the witch/wizard/supernatural being etc. theme. 

So i decided i want to do something different. 

This is my progression so far on piece number 1 (you can submit 3).
