So recently Claire introduced me to a Facebook Group called CGMeetUp
and on there is some work by a 3D artist named Jose Manuel Linares Lopez, and I think his work is amazing so I thought I'd share.
These are two of his current showreel's ->
Modeling Reel SD -- 01 from jose manuel linares lopez on Vimeo.
Characters Modeling Reel HD -- 01 from jose manuel linares lopez on Vimeo.
And of Course, his website
In other news, I'm currently rendering my Hard Surface Model
and because its my first time rendering in Maya I was a little bit concerned when it wasn't doing anything.
Then i realised that Maya is one of those programs that says :
"frame## 0 percent rendered "
until such a point when it realises it should let you know where it's up to and says :
"frame ## 100 percent rendered ".
So its a good thing my render times aren't too long, other wise i would have quite the render and tried to figure out why it doesn't work haha
Anyway, next time I will be (hopefully) uploading the hard surface render
~ Until then,
Ariane ~
its looks really amazing.....i like his style of designing a character....
ReplyDeleteyeah i agree ^^
DeleteIt should be possible to get Maya to tell you the progress of your render. Without knowing exactly what you've done it is hard to say why you've experienced that. It sounds like the verbosity level with your message output is set to some lower setting that doesn't include progress reporting although I don't see why this would be the case. If I batch render using mental ray I can set the verbosity to detailed messages and this reports almost too much information.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah? I didn't know that ~ thanks
